Migtana SubPost was established in the year 2016. It was initially functioning as an ORC for Kamichu PHC. There was an outbreak of scrub typhus in the area resulting in the demise of two young lives ,Dzongkhag Health office decided to have a subpost which can cater basic health service to the people of two chiwogs. Center is one of the remotest in the dzongkhag i.e 75 km from Bajo plying through rough and narrow farm road. Currently it caters service to the people of Lawalamga and Rookha chiwogs comprising of around 400 population. One primary school is also located near the center.   • Wangdue Primary School

Wangdue primary school was established in the year 1955. It is regarded as one of the oldest schools in the country. However, it had been downgraded in the year 2015 due to the congestion of space and infrastructure inadequacy. The school is located on the table land besides Thimphu - Trongsa highway just above the Wangduephodrang Dzong and adjacent to the Rada Neykhang. It caters the primary education services to almost over 900 plus children yearly. The school currently has 3.8 acres of land. Though the school is very small in area, yet it has the aim to provide primary educational services to each and every student with the broad and balanced quality education in line with the national curriculum. The school is of the conviction in providing wholesome education to bring out best in each child. The school highly regards the child rights on humanitarian ground. The school believes that building quality of relationship amongst teachers and parents is fundamentally crucial to its success in many areas. Hence, the school also promotes the community participation by celebrating the special occasions jointly and asks to be a SMB member and given full power to exercise for the school development plans.

  • Bajothang High School

Bajothang Higher Secondary School was formally established as a Junior High School. It was officially inaugurated on 10th April 1997 by the then Hon’ble Secretary, Ministry of Health and Education, Dasho Sangay Ngedup. Mr. Rabgay Tobden was the first Headmaster with 12 teachers. The school was upgraded to Higher Secondary School in March 2003 and the first batch of ISC (Class XII) passed out in December 2004. The school is located beside the silent Punatshangchu which flows at a stone throw distance from the main school buildings. It is about less than half a kilometer from the new Wangdi town-ship under Thedtsho geog. In 2004, Mr. Jamyang Choeda took over as the Principal of the school followed by Mr. Pema Dorji in 2005, Mr Rinzin Wangdi in 2007 and Mr. Dinesh Kumar Pradhan in 2009.School has seen a lot of developments and changes during the tenure of these principals. Mr. Shankar Lal Dahal took over as the Principal in March 2012.The school has a total land area of 15.9 acres of which two acres are reserved for Agricultural activities just below the football ground. Much of the land is used for plantation and maintaining greenery in the school. Apart from all the facilities for academic excellence, the school has a standard football ground, a basketball court and two volleyball courts, cricket practice place, Table Tennis and other facilities. The school also has a piggery, fishery and poultry sheds constructed with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture under the school agriculture programme. The school till now is of beneficiary not only to the local children but from other parts of this Dzongkhag. From 2010 academic session, boarding facility was phased out and classes VII and VIII were added. In 2011, the school had a major fire accident where administrative block was gutted down to ashes losing all the important material including the admission records of our past students. With the help from Ministry, Dzongkhag and Punatsangchu project, school regained its glory and all facilities are put into the place now. In the year 2012 after the academic block and 12 unit of classrooms was constructed by Punatshangchu the school took in additional eight sections of class VII and VIII students from Wangdue LSS.The school under the new administration/management with the strong support, commitment and collegiality of the teachers, support staff and Dzongkhag Authorities will aim to build a friendly, healthy and conducive atmosphere in the school for teaching & learning to take place.Towards the end, the school endeavours to provide wholesome learning through a wide range of curricula. The school has handled its rapid growth very smoothly with dedicated faculty members. In the last seventeen years the school saw many of its alumni earning scholarships in medicine, engineering growing into successful individuals with both of head and mind.

  • Gaselo BHU II

It is 22 kms away from Bajo town and just 300 meters away from gewog center. It caters its services to 3 gewogs; Gasetshogom, Gasetshowom and Nahi. It looks after 1 central school, 2 primary schools, a Shedra and lobdra with three out reach clinics. Now Gaselo BHU looks after Gasetshogom gewog and some Chiwogs from Gasetshowom as both the gewogs got sub post each in the year 2017 and 2018 respectively. We have one Health Assistant, one Assistant Nurse, one Menpa and a caretaker. We focused on 30% curative side and 70% health promotion.

  • Tencholing Primay School

Tencholing Primary School was established in the year 1973 with the center purpose to enroll the children of the families of military training center. Initially, the school was established by Armed forces with three single storied building of the type normally found in the army campuses. It started with one teacher and 40 students. In 1981, the school was handed over to Department of School Education under the Ministry of Education. The school is located on a small hilltop above the highway to Trongsa, hidden in a cypress grove in the Military Training Center and 2 kilometers from Bajo town towards east. The altitude of a place is 200 meters and Government considers this school as an urban school in the kingdom. The enrollment of the school has been steadily in growth as 40 students in 1973 to 9993 students in 2012. Mr. Dorji Penjor was the first principal, posted by the Ministry who initiated and showed his utmost sincerity and hard work. Mr. Alexander took over the charges of principal who tirelessly work to bring development in the school. The third principal was Mr. M.B. Mukhya, joined the school and shouldered the various responsibilities as manager and bought tons of development. Mr. Gopal Pradhen was next principal who contributed wholeheartedly to provide better education. The fifth principal was Mr. K.B. Gurung followed by Mr. Jambay Dorji who worked hard to bring educational changes in the school. Mr. D.K. Ghalley was seventh principal in the school and Ms. Doma was eighth principal who joined the school in1998 and shouldered the various responsibilities as manager and bought tons of development in terms of infrastructures and quality of education. In her tenure, school has seen immense changes with 2 buildings of 2 stories, cemented the assembly ground and many others.

  • Rinchengang Primary School

This school was opened in April, 2008 by three teachers including principal with 41 children enrolled in Pre-Primary. The school was established as community school with prime objective of enrolling Rinchengang community’s chidren as a nearest school.Two of us are still serving in the same school. In 2009, we have up-graded the school till class-III to ease admission pressure on sister schools. We could not up-grade to a full fledge PS until 2013 due to the classroom shortage. It is a departmental construction of Save the Children and Rinchengang Community. First batch of 23 (class-VI) students have completed primary education in 2014.School was not constructed on pre-planned location as such the location became isolated from the immediate community. All the developmental activities around the school boundary had begun after establishment of school. School is actually located on isolated place but now it isn’t as PHPA hospital is constructing just next to school and moreover approach road towards Dzongda’s resident, BPCL colony cum store and other private land.At present school has a concrete classroom block, a classroom block and a principal’s quarter of semi-permanent structured. The old academic building comprises of six units, out of which one room is used as store and rest as classrooms. Permanent structure of four units’ classroom is used as classrooms, staff room, library and office as well. The school does not have separate administrative block including library room. Our school is supplied with three computers, a facsimile machine, two printers, and a cyclostyle machine with internet. The school also has utility facilities like drinking water, electricity, and land line. School has separate VIP pit drop latrine for boys and girls with three units for each and has pour flush latrine for teachers. Our small assembly ground development is under way and without even a simple play field. School has approach road connecting national high way.
